A step towards their dreams: sixth-formers attended an open day at the National Vlog of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine

The career guidance work carried out by Oleksii Opryshko, Head of the Department of Automation and Robotics, and Natalia Pasichnyk, Associate Professor at the O. I. Natalia Pasichnyk, with pupils from Kyiv Lyceum No. 113, has continued in fine style — following an introductory meeting at the lyceum, the senior pupils visited the National Vlog of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine on Open Day.

For prospective students, this event was not merely a tour, but a genuine immersion into student life. The lyceum pupils had the opportunity to see the university’s modern facilities for themselves, visit the teaching buildings and laboratories, and familiarise themselves with the educational environment.

The students learnt more about practical training, innovative teaching methods, research opportunities, and international educational and research programmes. They were introduced to creative and sports clubs, as well as real opportunities for personal development. Talking face-to-face with lecturers and students helped them get a feel for the university atmosphere and imagine themselves as part of a large academic family.

“It’s a whole different level—when you’re not just listening,

but seeing everything with your own eyes. It’s really impressive!” the students shared their impressions.

The open day gave the students vivid and unforgettable impressions, helped them better understand their own professional interests and take another confident step towards choosing their future career.

Such events are an important part of the university’s ongoing collaboration with Lyceum No. 113, which has for many years been helping young people make informed career choices. And there will be more to come, because it is impossible to see everything at NUBIP in a single day; it takes years to get to know the university and grow alongside it.
